Okie-dokie, here we go. My first official critique! First of all, I must say that you have an amazing way of drawing felines. You always do such a great job with their anatomy. I mean, look at those paws! Beautiful specimens, really. :3 I also love how well the blue, cool colors correlate with his expression. He seems so calm, yet there is a hint of mischief in his eyes, like the sarcastic kitty you say he is.

Now comes the critiquing part of this. One subtle thing you may want to consider doing in the future is tapering you line art. This can be done in a variety of different ways. When I do line art, I normally mess with the brush settings to have a minimum diameter of 0% with pen pressure controlling the thickness of the line. This way, when you add more pressure to the pen, it gets notably thicker, and when you press very lightly, the line gets very, very thin. Also, you can taper your line art by erasing the edge of a line. For instance, on the front paw where the dew claw is, you could erase a tiny bit of that line gradually to create a pointier, tapered line. This can help your line art look smoother and flow better overall.

The other thing I would like to mention is the shading. You are definitely improving with the shading, but I will provide a few tips to improve your shading. First of all, I think you should try creating a little more defined shading and highlighting by using smaller brushes. Using smaller brushes will allow for more detail to be added and a possibility to add texture, such as fur. Also, for future pieces, consider playing with different colored and intensities of light. For instance, when there is warm lighting, such as a sunset giving off an orange glow, the highlights should learn more to orange and the lighter color of the initial base color. Then, the shadows should be the darker version of the base color and differing shades of blue, as blue is the complementary color of orange. This will create more depth in images.

Overall, I really like this sly piece of art. Keep up the awesome work, cariño! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h…" width="15" height="13" alt="" title="Heart" />
